Teri Odom received 2026 Violet Diller Award for Professional Excellence

Congratulations to Teri Odom, recipient of the 2026 Violet Diller Award for Professional Excellence from Iota Sigma Pi.
A global leader in nanoscience and nanophotonics, Odom designs structured nanoscale materials that control how light behaves at the smallest scales. Her pioneering work has advanced plasmonic nanoparticle lattices, lattice plasmon lasing, bioinspired photonic structures and reconfigurable nanomaterials, with applications across sensing, photonics, catalysis, energy conversion and biomedical imaging.
Presented every three years, the Violet Diller Award recognizes a woman whose contributions have significantly advanced chemistry and allied fields through scientific achievement and sustained leadership.
