Dichtel Receives 2017 Leo Hendrik Baekeland Award

Professor William Dichtel has received the 2017 Leo Hendrik Baekeland Award, established in 1944 by the North Jersey Section of the ACS. This prestigious award is presented biennially to recognize chemists under the age of forty for outstanding accomplishments in applied or pure chemistry as characterized by the initiative, creativeness, leadership, and perseverance of the individual. Professor Dichtel is the third current Northwestern professor to be recognized by this award, joined by Chad Mirkin (2001) and John Rogers (2007).
