Kanatzidis receives Honorary Doctorate from University of Crete

Professor Mercouri Kanatzidis received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the University of Crete. This degree recognizes his seminal pioneering contributions in the development and understanding of metal chalcogenide chemistry. He is recognized for his development of novel strategies for designing high-performance thermoelectric materials that convert waste heat to electricity. Kanatzidis’ is also recognized for discovering of a novel class of porous semiconductors termed chalcogels.
