Hupp Receives 2018 George S. Hammond Award from I-APS

Prof. Joseph Hupp has been awarded the 2018 George S. Hammond Award from the Inter-American Photochemical Society (I-APS). This award is given biennially at an I-APS Meeting in honor of George Hammond's central role in the development of modern photochmical scienes. Honorees are recognized for their "lifelong achievements in, and contributions to, the photochemical sciences".  Prof. Hupp has been awarded for his range of contributions from fundamental work on light-induced electron-transfer reactions to elucidation of mechanisms for molecule-powered solar cells to design and synthesis of new classes of light-harvesting and photocatalytic materials.
