Kanatzidis to Receive AIC Chemical Pioneer Award

Professor Mercouri Kanatzidis has been selected as the recipient for the Chemical Pioneer Award given by the American Institute of Chemists. First awarded in 1966, the Chemical Pioneer Award recognizes chemists, chemical engineers, or their associates who have made outstanding contributions which have had a major impact on advances in chemical science and industry and/or the chemical profession. Professor Kanatzidis has been selected to receive this award for his work defining the field of chalcogenide compounds (sulfides, selenides, and tellurides) over the past three decades. The award will be presented in Philadelphia on May 10th, 2018.
