Summer 2020 Chemistry Newsletter

Welcome to our Summer Newsletter. The Department’s liminal space shared with the world continues with the COVID-19 pandemic and renewed efforts to address anti-Black and systemic racism. Even so, there have been reasons to celebrate. We had our first virtual graduation ceremony for undergraduates and graduate students. Two of Northwestern’s honorary degree recipients were chemists. Faculty were promoted to Professor. Center grants were awarded. And our research labs started a phased re-opening in June. I hope you enjoy these happenings and that you are well.
