Summer 2023 Chemistry Newsletter

Welcome to our Summer Newsletter! We just wrapped up a productive and fruitful academic year, with much to celebrate. We are proud of our graduating majors, one of the strongest classes in recent memory, and look forward to what will come from their next endeavors. Our graduate students continue to be recognized for their promise and excellence with national fellowships. For the first time, and a nice recognition of our excellence in teaching, Chemistry members swept the annual College awards for tenure-line, teaching-track, and graduate-student instructors. In addition, two faculty were elected in the same year to the National Academy of Sciences and two others to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The community also celebrated the life and contributions of Fraser Stoddart in his address “Around the world in 80 years.” This year has been another good one for Northwestern Chemistry. Please enjoy our latest happenings as we recharge for Fall.
